THE REAL ME…

MEMEME005**This is my favorite picture of myself**

NAME: Carissa Allyson Crawford

AGE: 21

BIRTHDAY: July 4, 1988

HOMETOWN: Amarillo

CURRENT RESIDENCE: University of Texas-Austin

STUDYING: Mathematics & Elementary Education, English as Second Language Minor

HOBBIES: Running, reading HUGE novels, exploring my surroundings, furniture shopping, thrift stores, watching the sunset, hiking, playing with children, cooking (experimenting on my lovely friends), wine tasting, singing at the top of my lungs, dancing, talking about ANY & EVERYTHING, and learning more about myself & my heritage.

Let’s see I’m an only child so I definitely like owning my own spotlight. I’ve always wished I had my own tv show with cameras following me around everywhere BUT who knows it could happen someday. I sometimes compare myself to LC from the The Hills minus all the drama created in her life. I try to stray away from drama and dramatic people. I have a small close group of friends (girls & guys). Definitely don’t trust people that easily, so I might consider you my friend and not tell you shiz….the close ones are the people I can tell my innermost secrets too. I only have ONE friend, Austin James, who I’ve poured out my heart to and definitely can trust him with my life! I have two wonderful parents who love me unconditionally and I love them 20 times back. Am I spoiled? Sometimes but my parents make me work hard for what I have but they definitely support me in my life decisions.

I’m Christian but that doesn’t mean I say NO to everything that is not in the Bible. I’m very accepting and open to others views. However I know MY own right from wrong. Just because I listen to what you have to say does not mean I agree with it. I allow people to hold their own opinions about thing I mean its America which was made for people to think and feel different correct? Some people say Christian and Democrat/Moderate do not go together. I am about change and helping those that are underrepresented. I guess since I am also a minority: Caribbean American female, so its easy for me to understand where others are coming from.

My family background. Well my mother is from Guyana a small country in South America and my dad is from Boston, then somehow we ended up in Amarillo. I feel like I’m supposed to be from a big city up North just because I always felt different from the people in Amarillo. I had dreams bigger than staying there for the rest of my life. People always said I looked like I was going somewhere big to do who knows what. I see big things in my future and I pray I continue to stick to God’s perfect path for my life.

I remember a conversation with the T-Mobile lady: ” Wow your name is Carissa that sounds like a famous person’s name. If you become famous I’ll always remember this phone conversation with you”. Haha! That definitely made my day. So maybe you’re reading the blog of the a future superstar… :)

Anymore questions…ask…maybe I’ll answer….
