If you missed reading my about me I guess I shall introduce myself again.
My name: Carissa Allyson Crawford
I’m 19 and a junior at UT-Austin! I love Austin…the atmosphere, the college life, the entertainment, and especially being in a town where being different and expressing your heritage is fully acceptable! My major: Mathematics & Elementary Education…I love children and believe teaching them how to read, write, spell, and learn is more exhilarating than sitting behind a desk making thousands and thousands every year. I tutor for fun…because helping one child goes a long way. My little boy, Matthew he’s adorable! He’s in kindergarten has ADHD(something we both share) and a speech disorder. Every Wednesday when I go to see him it brings joy to my life & day because he’s the most amazing little boy ever. It always takes awhile to get into our routine but after awhile he’s too precious.
I always reflect back to the day in December and I was watching Oprah’s Top 10 Things for winter and she had tons of teachers on her show. I heard one lady’s story and it hit me….”God you want me to be a teacher?” (note: I have deep-based faith in my religion…if you have a problem I’m sorry it’s my blog and I’m allowed to express my beliefs whether the audience likes/dislikes) And that was the lovely day I fell in love with teaching. I been developed many relationships with different types of children and its taught me where, who, and what kind of teaching I want to do. Inner cities up North or California and I’m going to be the parent/teacher/counselor/nurse/and friend all wrapped up into one person. I can’t wait and I’m also never teaching Pre-K had many many bad experiences with that.
I believe this is all…its short and not too much in depth but my blog is for me to express what I want to tell to the world which isn’t too much. I might always seem like I’m having a good day even though deep down inside it’s horrible. Like I’ve said before I don’t open up to people until I get to know you very well and I probably still will not open up. There’s three people that know my life story: me, God, and my best friend. So who knows maybe if you’re that lucky person then you’ll get to know the full story of Carissa Allyson

I’m in the middle!
